Former Making the Bander Aubrey O'Day has spent her post-Danity days singing on Broadway, posing provocatively for Playboy, exploring her feminine (loving) side and habitually spray-painting her Crayola-colored canine, Ginger. So when she told us she had a brand-new reality show in the works, we had zero idea what to expect. 'Specially after we read (on Perez) that girl was slated to take over Tila Tequila's bisexual dating show.
Sadly (or happily, depending on your reality tv appetite), Aubs sez she has no intention of walking in Tila's trashtastic stripper wedges. At least, not at the moment.
"There was originally some talk about me coming on A Shot at Love," Aubrey confirmed to MTV News. "They were excited about me keeping with the network, and they thought I would be great for it since I'm America's favorite bisexual. [But] I didn't feel it was the right fit for me, 'cause I'm an artist first. Although I have fun at events and stuff, it's not really at all who I am as an artist."
And as for her new series? O'Day calls it a "docu-soap" and sez it will follow her life on and off the stage. "I'm going to be singing, dancing and acting," she promises.
'Course, it's not gonna be a one-woman show. In order to become a star, Aubrey will need to hold her own against avid scene-stealer Ginger O'Day. And as Aubs told us at the Making the Band live finale (while her publicity-loving pup snuggled up to reporters), "she's always upstaging me."
